野田幸江 「花をたむける」

本当の本当に最後の棺が閉まるまで、故人が花に埋もれていくとき、手に手に積もっていく花と、止まらない時間、花の美しさ、もう棺は開かない。
1万2千年前の石器時代に人が花をたむけていた事が化石からわかっているそうで、どんな宗教感を持っていたのか定かではないけれど、花を摘んでささげる自然な動機は今も同じです。

6月22日、QUANTUMショールームにて、アーティスト・野田幸江さんを迎えたワークショップを開催します。
季節の草花を囲んで、おしゃべりをしながら手を動かすような、気軽な場になればと思っています。棺に集まっていく別れ花の美しさに倣い、各々の手からひとつの場所へ向かっていく草花と行為のうちに、人と花、手向けることについて想いを巡らせる試みです。
終わりには、分け合った草花を紙箱に仕舞い、お持ち帰りいただきます。ショールーム内には野田幸江さんの生花も展示されていますので、あわせてご覧ください。

Sachie Noda Workshop “Offering Flowers”
June 22 (Sun), 2025

We are pleased to welcome artist Sachie Noda to the QUANTUM showroom for a one-day workshop.
Participants will gather seasonal wildflowers from the garden and nearby hills,
then create small floral pieces by wrapping and tying them with thread, while enjoying conversation.
As we reflect quietly on themes of life, death, and remembrance,
the flowers and arrangements will be placed into a shared wooden box.
At the end, each person will take home a portion of the flowers, carefully placed in a paper box.
Sachie Noda’s fresh flower installation will also be on view in the showroom.
